Would you believe me if I told you I have been trying to think of a name for this series for three weeks? In the end, this simple title just seemed to fit. My hope for this series is to embrace a classic blog post and share more of my day to day life 🙂
The Cloud Sweater:
This oversized cloud sweater is one of my recent favorite purchases. It makes me think of the sky as the clouds are breaking up, right before an afternoon of full sun. I can’t help but think that this image of stepping towards the sun exemplifies how I feel about the state of our country as a whole. We can see the light, but we are not quite there yet.
Have you read Jane Austen?
I’m a little embarrassed to say this, but I have never read Jane Austen. Austen somehow never came across my desk throughout the school. I also recently read an article about how many modern rom-com’s are loosely based on Austen novels. Then and there I vowed to read Jane Austen once and for all. I have high hopes as I love a period piece!
It appears I cannot escape Jane Austen as I saw this postcard set at Four Sided today. The sample postcards on the back of the box nearly made me squeal with delight. Here’s to hoping the cards are still there once I get a chance to read Jane Austen myself.

What’s your favorite TV show of all time?
Mine is Gilmore Girls. I was OBSESSED when I was younger. I own all seven seasons on DVD, and I can pretty much quote every single episode. The reason I bring this up is Joel and I started watching Gilmore Girls last week and Joel is surprisingly loving it. It makes me so happy to hear him laugh out loud while watching. On a completely separate note, we picked this show after watching The West Wing for the past few months. The West Wing was so good. Post West Wing we found ourselves looking for another show that is funny and optimistic and a little nostalgic, and thus we landed on Gilmore Girls

I want to move so I can host more. Is that crazy to say considering I see a total of less than five people on a regular basis right now?
Joel and I have lived in our current apartment for three years and I think we have officially outgrown it. I find myself daydreaming about using the cooking skills I have honed throughout the past year. In a sense, I feel like I am longing to nest? I want to decorate and organize a new apt. And then host dinner parties as much as possible. Maybe I’m just longing to be with friends and this is how it’s manifesting in my mind, who knows??
One last thing..
When I miss traveling I look at this hotel in Paris. You can book rooms at the earliest one year out and I officially have a calendar reminder set for my birthday this year. Spending my 30th in Paris is something I could daydream about all day long.
