Hi guys!
Happy Tuesday! How was your weekend?
Mine was full to the brim, and just what I needed! Friday Joel and I stayed in, made dinner and watched a movie. Saturday morning we made it to an early morning class at Yoga Six and later caught up with some friends at Moody Tounge. It was our first time at Moody Tounge, and I would totally recommend checking this place out! The space itself is so cozy and chic, and the beers were unexpected but tasty!
This is my first “Ask Katelyn” post, and honestly it is long overdue. All of the reader questions in this post are things I have been asked over the last month. Most of these questions I have been asked a handful of times so it seemed time to dedicate a full post to this!
If this type of post is something you enjoy reading(or not) please let me know in the comments!
“You’ve posted a book on you insta-stories a few times lately, what is it again?? Also what genre?”
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer. Guys this is the best book I have read in a long time. I have been reading mostly non-fiction for the last 6 months or so, but when I saw the trailer(the movie is out now!) and heard rave reviews from Joel I knew I needed to read this book ASAP.
Annihilation is the first book in The Southern Reach Trilogy and is a short 195 pages. I am not joking when I say once you pick this book up you will not be able to put it down. Annihilation is suspenseful, beyond creative, and leaves you guessing every step of the way.
“What do you use on your brows?”
I use the Anastasia DIPBROW Pomade in the shade Taupe with an angled brow brush.
You may not know this about me but my eyebrows are a big insecurity point for me. My hairs are naturally sparse and very light blonde so it basically looks like I have no eyebrows. I love using the DIPBROW because the pomade stays on sooo well, is easy to manipulate, and the color Taupe matches my natural hair color perfectly(ashy blonde).
*I know this product can seem super intimidating at first but I promise it is so easy to use! I start by lightly dipping my brush into the product, then wipe nearly all of the product off into the inside of the lid, and then start gradually building up my brows.
“Where is your couch from?”
My couch(pictured above) has easily been what I get the most questions about! I got my little couch from Wayfair(couch link here!). It is the perfect couch for my studio and I love the stud detailing(I have the color Beige which is currently unavailable!).
When I moved into my studio I was soo excited to finally have a place that was all mine, and could not wait to decorate. Overall my place is very light and bright, but filled with tons of textures. Almost all of my home decor and furniture is from Wayfair, Target, Home Goods, and thrift stores(not to mention my mom is the queen of finding gems on Craigslist).
*I will be moving in a few months and am excited to see how my stuff will work in a new space!
Shoot me over any questions and I can add them to an upcoming “Ask Katelyn” post!
