Happy Thursday!
This week was a busy one, especially since I felt a cold coming on. I got as much rest as possible and attempted to sweat out the sickness with extra rounds of sprints at the gym. Because extra endorphins cure everything right?
This weekend I am very excited to be heading to East Lansing to support my Hawkeyes as they take on Michigan State! For those of you who don’t know one thing that I take a ton of pride in is being from the state of Iowa(and of course being a Hawkeye). It is taking all my might not to wear my black and gold striped overalls, but I have decided it is finally time to go for a more subtle tailgating look.
My new tailgating staples are my favorite black jeans, an unbelievably soft sweatshirt with a vintage look, and a more clean version of my white high top converse from college.
Jeans: These are the best black jeans I have ever worn, and this is a bold statement coming from someone who has tried a ton. These jeans have a lot of stretch to them, almost bordering on jegging, yet still have enough structure to look put together. If it is your first time purchasing jeans from TopShop it is 100% necessary to double check the sizing chart, and most of the time go up a size! I went up 1 size and the fit is perfect.
Sweatshirt: My sweatshirt is super soft and is from Tailgate. Throughout college I would get a ton of Iowa apparel at our local Tailgate store in downtown Iowa City. Tailgate was bought out by American Eagle recently and is now available on the AE website for many schools.
Tennis Shoes: You cannot go wrong with a classic pair of converse for tailgating. I personally prefer high tops, they provide more of vintage look. I own both black and white and wear them regularly.
Go Hawks!
