Hi Friends & happy Friday!
I don’t know about you but this week has been a serious struggle for me. Joel and I are in the midst of moving and I am struggling to find a routine. The lack of routine has led me to drinking coffee at times of the day I would normally not drink it. In turn I have not been able to sleep at night because I drank coffee at 4pm. Needless to say I have been super thrown off!
But aside from all of this I am so happy it is Friday! We are going to the HAIM and Lizzo concert tonight and I am SO EXCITED! I bought these tickets basically six months ago and have been looking forward to this show ever since. The last time HAIM came to Chicago I kicked myself for not getting tickets and vowed to get to the show the next time around.
Saturday morning I am making time to check a couple of things off the blog checklist. To be completely honest I have been in a blogging funk. There are so many ideas I am excited about but I am seriously struggling to find the time. Que smart planning. This week I sat down, did some serious brainstorming and short-term goal setting. I took my goals and post ideas, threw them into a blogging calendar, and can say I am excited to have a solid plan for the next few months. As I was building out my calendar I got very excited for one idea in particular, and that is my first series.
I am jazzed to kick off my first series here on Katelyn Dupree:Chicago by Neighborhood! This idea started with me thinking about 1. what I truly love writing about 2. What my readers ask questions about constantly. I am not joking when I say I get asked about restaurant recommendations at least a handful of times each week! This way my recommendations will live right here on Katelyn Dupree.
HOW THIS SERIES WILL WORK:
Chicago by Neighborhood will cover my favorite neighborhoods in Chicago(there’s A LOT). The plan is to post one new neighborhood every other week. Each post will cover restaurants, things to do, and random things about the neighborhoods! With that being said I know all you Chi residents have great recommendations, so please send them my way(I will of course give you credit).
p.s. If you are looking for general Chicago recommendations for this summer check out my post right here!
Excited to share the first neighborhood with you soon!
