What a week it has been and it’s not even Friday! The past two weeks have been insanely busy for me at work and thank goodness this weekend I have absolutely no plans. I’m picturing cozy dinner, finishing Stranger Things, and wine.
With fall now fully in motion and winter on the way I have been leaning towards cozy yet effortless outfits when going out. To me effortless is instantly accomplished with boyfriend jeans. I have loved boyfriend jeans for the past year or so on other people and only sprung for my first pair a month ago. I had tried on soooo many pairs and never felt confident enough to buy them. This all changed when I found a pair at Target that was affordable enough for me to test the waters.
Below are tips for rocking your first pair of boyfriend jeans! If you are hesitant I would strongly suggest going with a pair at a smaller price point and testing them out at home with a few different outfit options. Trust me! once you fall in love with this style of jeans you will want to wear them all the time, they are so chic and so comfy!
Ideal Fit & Wash When looking for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans look for something that is structured and fitted through you hips, and loosens up quite a bit mid thigh. For the jeans I purchased I went with my typical size. When it comes to wash something in vintage blue is ideal(to me vintage blue to the classic color of jeans worn in the 90’s with a slight fade to them). For your first pair definitely look for something that has a relaxed feel but is not so loose that it looks sloppy!
Best Tops for Pairing My go to with my boyfriend jeans is something that shows your shape. I went with a fitted black body suit for going out and absolutly loved it. I also have gone with an off the shoulder top effortlessly tucked into the front of the jeans. BUT my favorite option is a simple tank tucked into the jeans paired with a cardiagan or leather jacket.
Best Shoes for Pairing Booties are my go to with boyfriend jeans. They dress the jeans up, and really tie the look together. For a more casual look slide on sneakers like Vans also look great.

Cheers to pushing your personal fashion boundaries!
