Hi guys!
Tomorrow is officially the first day of March and I’m not going to lie it snuck right up on me.
March is a month I always find myself looking forward to. There are birthdays, St. Patrick’s Day(who else is ecstatic Chicago is actually celebrating on the 17th this year??) and even some warm weather if we are lucky!
With the start of the new month I figured there is no time like the present to dive head first into a few challenges/goals for the month.
G O A L 1: 20 DAYS OF YOGA
This month I am going to attend 20 yoga classes. I currently already attend a good amount but have been wanting to ramp my class number up for quite some time.
As you may remember earlier in the year I was dead set on completing a half marathon this spring. Unfortunately after training for only 6 weeks not only was my body not on board with the training but my Chiro wasn’t either. This was incredibly frustrating. Running has always been such a struggle for me, and I truly wanted to accomplish this milestone. After weeks of thinking I decided I need to listen to my body and am instead going to dive into other fitness challenges(que more yoga classes).
I attend classes at Yoga Six in Gold Coast and absolutely love it. They offer a handful of different class types, and I am constantly impressed by the teachers. If you are in the area I would highly suggest checking out Deep Stretch at 7pm on Tuesday nights with Anne. This class is not only restorative for the body but also the mind, especially since Anne offers a 15 minute guided meditation immediately following the class. The meditation is absolutely amazing, and taking the extra 15 minutes every Tuesday nights has no joke helped me so much.
In order to get to 20 classes I am going to have to be more dedicated than I normally am(I may event throw in a few morning classes here and there!).
G O A L 2: Finish 2 Books
Reading more is something I always say I’m going to do, but honestly never make the time for. I have been re-reading random excerpts of You Are a Badass for four months at this point.
I love going into an actual bookstore, so that is on the docket for this weekend and I will share which two I pick up!
If you have any recommendations please send them my way!
Cheers to new goals!(& sharing them, because sharing can only make you more accountable right?)
