Happy 2020 friends! I am back and feeling refreshed post holiday craziness. I’m sure I’m not alone in the fact that December is by far my craziest month of the year at work. December simultaneously seems to fly by but also drags on for what feels like years. By the time Christmas actually rolled around this year all I wanted to do was slow down. I was lucky enough to get four days off work to head home, with Joel by my side. There is something so unbelievably calming about getting out of the city for a few days, and being surrounded by family. I can not think of a better way to head into the new year(besides sharing beauty product recommendations with you of course).
As we embrace the journey that is 2020 there are a few changes you may notice around here. First I want to share more of my personal life at the beginning of every blog post. Odds are you are here because somehow we have connected and I want to continue to build on whatever kind of connection that is(hopefully you’re here for the bomb content too:)). Second I want every post to be a resource for YOU. This means more posts, and more specifically more reader requested posts, so please send any and all requests my way!
Now for the Most Valuable Information of 2019: My Top 5 Favorite Beauty Products of the Year
1.The Seaweed Bath Co: Detox + Age Defying Micro Scrub
A microscrub that will truly work for everyone. If you’re currently wondering if you need to add exfoliating to your skincare routine the answer is YES. This micro scrub gently exfoliates to remove dry flaky patches, and helps bring brighter skin to the surface faster. Use this two times a week and don’t forget your neck!
2.Kosas: Weightless Lipstick in Undone
Lipsticks are my weakness similarly to cinnamon rolls. I have 20 other versions of this slightly darker than your natural lip color, but this one is the best. Kosas lipsticks are hydrating, have beautiful pigment, and are CLEAN. No preservatives, and no toxic shade ingredients(or testing on animals).
3.Briogeo: Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray
Looking to simplify your hair routine? This Leave In Conditioner is your one way ticket to a streamlined hair routine. A few sprays of this milk into damp, freshly washed hair is all you need. Not to mentioned it smells like pure heaven.
4.cocokind: Mymatcha All Over Moisture Stick
If you buy one thing from this list, this moisture stick should be it. This stick is as clean as beauty products come, and it is incredibly moisturizing. I use this stick on my under-eye area morning and night. It is perfect for super sensitive skin, in addition to being ideal for travel.
5.Laura Mercier: Flawless Fusion Ultra Long-wear Concealer
Sure I love Tarte Shape Tape, and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer as much as the next girl, but this concealer is BETTer than those two. The coverage is buildable, it doesn’t settle into fine lines, and most importantly looks like REAL skin. Use it in conjunction with your favorite foundation or minimally spot treat and go foundation free for a more natural look.
