I chopped my hair senior year of college and I have never looked back. Since the big chop I have spent literally years figuring out exactly what makes my short fine and wavy hair look best, while also keeping it as healthy and nourished as possible. Through too many trials I ended up with the below tried and true haircare items. These items work wonders on my fine wavy hair!
Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo
I just started using the Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo around a month ago and it has quickly beat out every shampoo I have used. This shampoo gives a thorough clean but doesn’t strip your hair. It is truly the best of both worlds: it cleanses while hydrating dry damaged hair. In my opinion EVERYONE should be using a hydrating shampoo. We are constantly putting our hair through the ringer and using a shampoo that is too harsh makes the damage we are already doing even worse. When in doubt stick with a hydrating shampoo!
Kristin Ess The One Purple Shampoo
If you highlight your hair it is absolutely necessary to use a purple shampoo every now and then. The purple neutralizes the yellow in your hair, and I definitely don’t want yellow hair. I prefer to keep my blonde much more on the cool side. The Kristin Ess Purple Shampoo works great and is extremely affordable in terms of purple shampoo. A word of caution this purple shampoo is intense. Do NOT let it set on your hair for any extra time, I learned this the hard way:)
The Amazon Scalp Massager
Okay this one is not necessary but it is nice to have. This Amazon Scalp Massager is a lovely way to make your shower experience just a little more spa like!
Pureology Hydrate Soft Softening Treatment
If you are noticing a theme here I am all about maximum hydration. I wash my hair a total of two times a week usually. One of those times I use the Pureology Hydrate Soft Softening Treatment. This treatment will seriously change your hair. It makes my hair SO soft and much more manageable.
Briogeo Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner
If there is one product I love them most on this list this one is it. The Briogeo Leave-In Conditioner is one of those products I cannot live without. I love to air dry my hair but frizz is definitely an issue. This leave-in conditioner eliminates nearly all my frizz and does not make my hair greasy which is a huge feat!
OUAI Wave Spray
This wave spray has a cult following for a reason. Truth be told I’ve had this spray in my bathroom cabinet forever and never really reached for it. Then cue the stay at home order, I was letting my hair air dry and was not touching it with heat. Instead I misted my damp hair with the OUAI Wave Spray. It gives my hair some added texture and defines my waves a little more then they are naturally. It’s essentially the ultimate no effort hair product.
R+CO High Dive Moisture + Shine Creme
Until the last year or so I was pretty dependent on hair spray. I was always using it to try and tame and eliminate frizz. Then I saw some influencer with super smooth luscious looking hair say they use a cream to smooth flyaways and their ends. Now I rarely use hairspray and use the R+CO Moisture and Shine Cream all the time. I use this most often to hydrate my ends or smooth down my part.
BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO Bare Fragrance
I have tried tons of dry shampoos but I always come back to the Batiste Bare Fragrance Dry Shampoo. It not only soaks up grease but it also works great as a texture/volume spray. I love to buy the giant value size. Yes, I do use THAT MUCH dry shampoo:)
Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector
A hair product list is not compelte without Olaplex No.3. Odds are you have heard about this life changing hair treatment. You apply it to damp hair and let it set and then shampoo it out. I love to apply this treatment, sweep my hair into a low bun and go about my day. This treatment truly speaks for itself. You can feel the added strength in your hair the second you rinse it out! This product is not only for fine wavy hair, it is literally for ALL hair types
