Happy mid October! This time of the year is my personal favorite. I enjoy the weather, the fall fashion, fall spices…pretty much anything October has to offer I love it. It feels like I have a million October centric things I want to share so as opposed to bombarding you on Instagram Stories I’m writing a full blown blog post with all the random pumpkin spiced stuff I love (kind of kidding kind of not).
If you enjoy this type of post please let mw know in the comments!
October Favorites:
Fall Colors: My ultimate favorite is not something I can link for you.. it’s the fall colors. I grew up in Iowa and have seen many leaves change in my lifetime but I have never seen full blown fall colors. Joel and I escaped to Northern Michigan for a few days and the colors are just beautiful (the picture above is from a lookout on the Tunnel of Trees). I enjoyed it so much so that I have officially started manifesting a trip to Maine next fall:)
Soup: This tried and true butternut squash soup recipe is a fall favorite in our house.

Fun Sweater: A 70s style sweater featuring fall colors, but also featuring red which would be lovely for the holiday season.
Candles: This would not be a complete list without a few fall candles. Of course I love bath&body works, but dare I say I may love these candles even more: Nectar Republic Candles Autumn Pear Scent, Good & Well Supply Company Bryce Canyon Candle, and of course the Voluspa Spiced Pumpkin Candle.
Wubby: The fluffiest pullover(I call it a wubby??) This one comes in a bunch of colors and ships via Amazon prime.
Lip Gloss: Buxom makes one of my favorite lip gloss formulas of all time. This fall Buxom released a few seasonal glosses. Both the shades and scents of the gloss are festive. The two I have my eyes on are Pumpkin Spiced Latte & Autumn. One of these glosses would make a perfect “thinking of you gift” for your friend who loves festive fall things!
Pinterest: browsing Pinterest is my favorite year round but in the Fall it is next level. Check out my All Things Autumn Board as well as my Fall Style Board!

A Transitional Moisturizer: After watching Katie Jane Hughs uses skin food over and over again I ordered both the rich version and the light version. Here is an article where Hughs sings praises for the moisturizer. I love to use the light moisturizer in the fall and then transition to the rich moisturizer in the dead of winter. I slather this all over my face at night. You can also use this moisturizer as a primer or highlight.
Statement Hat: I purchased this hat from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago and now I want to wear it all the time. It comes in a few colors and in my opinion is great quality for the price. I bought mine in store as I was very worried that the brim of the hat would get too smooshed shipping in a box.
