Happy Friday guys! After what seems like forever it finally feels like summertime in Chicago. This means most of my weekends will be spent on patios or at the beach. With the beach comes swimsuits. Which leads me to one-pieces. For the past few years I have exclusively worn one-piece swimsuits and I finally feel not only comfortable in a swimsuit, I feel confident.
I think my hate for two pieces comes from wearing one that fit me all wrong way back in middle school. Back then I constantly compared my body to my classmates and it led to less a less than stellar experience everytime I put a swimsuit on. Cue adulthood and I love my body a majority of the time, and consider myself a very confident person. Still it took a long time for me to feel comfortable at the beach.
I have one-pieces and looking at my body in a new way to thank for this. After all our bodies are unique for a reason. They do spectacular things on a daily basis, so we all should show our bodies some well deserved love!
With that if you have yet to jump on the one-piece train. Try out one of the options I love below. They all fall under $50!

If you are worried about buying a one piece offline because you don’t know what size you are…
Order two sizes, I have done this with so many swimsuits, especially when I want the right fit for a certain upcoming event. From my experience it is also always better to order true to size or even one size down. I say this because at my petite height I want to ensure that there is not a bunch of extra fabric in the torso if the suit runs slightly big.
Plus you can get so many good deals online. All of the swimsuits shown below are from ASOS, Cupshe, Amazon, and Forever21. I own one-pieces from all of these stores and for the most part they have all run true to size. Also! So many people are worried Cupshe is not reliable. I have ordered from them twice now and had a great experience both times. So no complaints here!
One-Pieces Under 50$
Cheers to many more opportunites to wear a swimsuit and relax with a good book this summer!
