With the extra time at home Joel and I have been testing out new recipes as well as cooking recipes that feel nostalgic to us. Spending time and care to create a tasty meal together is something I not only love but something that makes me feel productive! Below are the recipes we have loved over the past month or so!
RECIPE ROUNDUP: MAY 2020
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

These tasty rolls are the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had, let alone made at home. One callout for this recipe is the rolls will not rise as much as you think. I thought there was something wrong with my yeast! My mom made the same recipe and thought the same thing, so don’t be alarmed if they do not rise much!
Buffalo Chicken Bowls

What’s not to love about buffalo chicken? This quick recipe is a lovely make ahead meal. We served the buffalo chicken over spinach with carrots and a little bit of ranch as well as on naan to make a buffalo chicken flat bread!
One Skillet Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken and Orzo

HOLY MOLY this meal is good. This comforting recipe combines a few of my favorite things sun dried tomatoes, pasta, and heavy cream. I mean what is not to love.
Buttery Cherry Berry Skillet Crisp

Cherries and berries are simply delightful when combined, especially with buttery crumbly crips topping. Serve this tasty crisp with vanilla ice cream and thank me later.
Parchment Paper Salmon

Adding more fish to our diet is something we have been making an effort to do for a while. This parchment paper salmon is beyond easy and uses minimal dishes. Our personal favorite of the four recipes is the pesto salmon.
Double Chocolate Banana Muffins

My mom had been making this muffin recipe for years and trust me it is a fan favorite! Plus if you are tired of making banana bread in the q change it up with these muffins. Pro tip: take them out of the oven when they look slightly under done!
Crispy Beef Tacos

I love tacos in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes you just want a crunchy cheesy taco that nearly feels like it’s from a drive through window. These tacos are just that.
