Trying a new foundation(let alone a drugstore foundation) is exciting and terrifying and the same time. You might think I am being dramatic, but as somebody with breakout prone skin I can say I’m not. Most days you can find me reading reviews on beauty products for longer than I would care to admit. THANK YOU to all you fab review writers out there. You inspire me to try new drugstore products, and sometimes it results in finding a killer foundation like Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation.
The first time I heard about The Healthy Foundation was in this article by Byrdie. In the article it is described as looking so much like your real skin but better. Truly what more could you ask for in a foundation?

The Healthy Foundation by Physician’s Formula has a large doe foot applicator and comes in a glass bottle. The foundation retails for $11 on Amazon, with 12 shades total. The shade range overall is lacking on darker shades which is unfortunate.
The gorgeous formula has a satin finish, that truly looks better as it wears. Not to mention it has SPF 20 which is always a welcome addition.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Apply this foundation by swipping with the doe foot applicator in various areas of your face(always start with less than you think you need!)
2. Then use a small wispy brush, I love Real Techniques Setting Brush with a featherweight touch to blend out
3. Apply additional fountain where needed. I typically spot treat around my chin as well as the sides on my nose. use the same brush with a stippling motion for more coverage
4. Finish the application by setting any necessary areas with powder. I swear by Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO DRUGSTORE FOUNDATION?
