Have you ever looked at your closet and thought, “this isn’t me,”? I glanced over at my closet a few months back and couldn’t shake this thought. For as long as I can remember I have been the girl that wears a ton of patterns, and loves color. Today when I look at my closet I see patterns and colors, but I also see a lot of neutrals. Up until pretty recently neutrals have not been my style. I would even go so far to say that I was only buying a neutral item if I “had to”.

Nowadays I live for a minimalistic outfit. I love throwing together an outfit I know will work, and will be comfortable all day long. Time and time again I turn to the three Everlane pieces featured in this post. So oftern so that I have considered by a second of each item(and I probably will one day soon). These pieces reign supreme in my closet because they can be worn countless differnt ways, and can feel casual or chic depending on the accessories paired with them. Now let’s get to the specifics!

THE OVERSIZED ALPACA CREW

This sweater has opened my eyes to the beauty of real materials in the best way. It is made of alpaca, nylon and wool, giving it a lightweight airy feel, while still being incredibly warm. How warm you ask? Well if you wear this sweater with your winter parka you are going to be warm in the coldest weather, I guarantee it. Aside from the warmth, the details of this sweater are everything. The rib pattern and the sleeve that balloons slightly are timeless touches.

Fit: True to size, I wear a small. If you are looking for an oversized fit to wear with leggings I would suggest sizing up for length! My sweater is in Heather Black, but I currently I ogling over the Mustard and Rose.

THE 90’S CHEEKY STRAIGHT JEAN

Looking to dip your toe into the straight leg/mom jean trend? Look no further. These vintage style jeans have virtually no stretch, in the most perfect way. The second you put on the jeans they feel a touch stiff, but give it 5 minutes and they will feel like home. Not to mention the medium blue color gives an effortless look.

Fit: True to size, I wear a 27. Note, if you are looking for a more fitted look I would size down.

THE MODERN LOAFER

I had my eye on these loafers for close to two years before I made them mine. I read countless reviews, and day dreamed about the chic outfits I would put together. Flash forward, I couldn’t get myself to spend the $168. Then I was on a family vacation talking to my mom and aunt about these shoes for the one millionth time, and they were like, “Katelyn buy the shoes.” The second I put them on my feet I knew it was love. They are timeless and gorgous! Thank you Everlane for making my dream shoe.

Fit: True to size, I wear a 7.5.
