In my eyes a blazer is a power piece. This power piece is typically the item you wear to a job interview in a neutral color. Yes, an interview or presentation is the time to look professional but it is also the time to showcase your personality. After many job interviews and presentations I own a few pretty fabulous blazers(most of them are far from plain). Over time I have come to realize that there are so many ways to style a blazer that make it feel fresh and casual. My favorite way just so happens to be with a basic t-shirt and jeans or denim cutoffs. Below is the summer outfit combination featuring a cropped blazer that makes me feel instantly confident.
A Cropped Blazer For Summer Groundbreaking
This double breasted cropped blazer from ASOS is a lovely camel color, making it just about as neutral as neutral can get. Pre-COVID I pictured myself wearing this blazer with sundresses left and right. It was going to be my go to work outfit this summer. A few months into my furlough I decided I could not let this blazer waste away in my closet. This cropped blazer looks so cute paired with denim cutoffs and a t-shirt. Wear it with a kitten heel to spice it up or a fun tennis shoe for a more casual look.
This cropped blazer is my instant confidence boost because of the structure it gives an outfit. Some days everything I try on makes me feel uncomfortable. On those days a blazer is my best friend. Sure it is actually not the most comfortable thing it’s not bike shorts and an oversized t-shirt after all. The type of comfortable I am talking about is comfortable and confident. The type of instant confident you want in a first date outfit.
This cropped blazer outfit is my when in doubt put this on outfit and it never fails. If cropped is not your thing try this same outfit formula with an oversized blazer!
